One corporate job I had gave me a desk and they provided me with some beautifully printed business cards. This was back in the late 1990s. I wore a trench coat to this job and thought I was on my way to the big-time. Boy oh boy was I wrong!
It was a sales job, that paid more than, I'd ever seen, but it was also a high stress job of dealing with other companies and contracts. I did not see all this coming when I got the job, all I saw back then was dollar signs.
Whatever job you have where you're doing some type of sales, you want a cool business card. I thought it was funny when in American Psycho, Patrick Bateman showed off his business card. For Bateman the business card was more than a business card to him. To Bateman, it was all about presentation and he wanted his to be PRISTINE. As a matter of fact, business cards are a great way of getting yourself out there.
Today, people use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn to make business connects and they all work, but you still got to have that business card for when you are out to eat or shopping, because you never know when you'll meet a new client.
When I would send a packet of information to a company I was trying to get a contract with, I would throw in some extra business cards, because they might hand them out in the future, if they were to work with my company.
It's all networking and marketing. We did all kinds of things back then to beat our competitors.
Wouldn't it be fun to give someone a fake business card when you are in another state or visiting a club somewhere. I remember being in a night club and giving a business card out, but I never had a fake business card. If I did, that would have been a blast to freak someone out.
Now you can get 48 hilarious cards per pack, that you can give to co-workers or hand out when you are having a night on the town. I think women would get a good laugh out of being handed one of these cards. In fact, you might even get a date (hint - put your real phone number on the back).
One of the cards is for a PET EXORCIST. This would have been a winner for Edward and Lorraine Warren. For many years, the Warrens investigated what seemed to be mysterious appearances of poltergeists, and demons, with some eerie events becoming deadly and horrific. Not to mention, they inspired some blockbuster horror movies.
Anyways, back to the cards. If you leave these cards at restaurants or post them on cork-boards, that would be hilarious. Make someone's day and give them a smile, better yet, give them one of these crazy business cards!
