I remember my days working at jobs where I was in a cubicle, and I really feel for people today who are at their jobs and suffering.
On this website, I talk mainly about bizarre gifts that you can give to people to cheer them up and make their day, but there are times when you need solid information or you know someone who is suffering, who needs the best information possible, just so they can make it another day.
Years ago, I did a mind map of my life and I deduced everything down to the decisions I made in my relationships (girlfriends) and at my jobs. Most of my suffering was coming from my perception of the girls I was dating and the mind-numbing dead end jobs I kept taking. When it came right down to it, I was lacking information and depressed. I was swimming in a sea of infinite ignorance, and I didn't even have a life-preserver. I was starting to look like Leonardo DiCaprio at the very end of Titanic, where he was sinking to his death. It was not pretty. Hell, I could not even figure out what to do, and I was not the only one. Some of the people I worked with were cool, while others were mean, offensive, nosy, selfish, and idiotic. Who would look forward to that everyday?
I worked in a company with hundreds of people, and the ones I was surrounded with hated the job about as much as I did. We were all doing customer service, and at times there were so many calls coming in, that we could not keep up with them. In fact, one person was designated to take peoples phone numbers and say that we would call them back. Many of us were angry and others were literally crying from the stress. What I'm sharing in this article, I don't come across online, because who in the hell wants to share just how dehumanizing and deadly most work places are!
Many employees were looking for ways out of the cubicle warfare, and the ones I worked with were trying to get into real estate at the time. Those that were going to tough it out at work tried moving up and would say or do whatever to get up the ladder fast. Looking back, it was all a sad joke. The unfortunate fact is, many people will have to quietly suffer, until they can either save up money and find another job or figure out a way to work for themselves. Listen closely to what Terence McKenna said, “If you don't have a plan, you become part of somebody else's plan.” Do you honestly think someone else is going to have a good plan for you at your job? Not likely! You can find even more wise quotes about the work place from Charles Bukowski. Good old Charles doesn't hold any punches!
You need to take a big step back and look at your programming. Look at your heredity, the situations that molded you, and the environmental and social conditioning that shaped you and take responsibility for it all, and see what the cause of your pain really is. Millions or more, just go through life not even knowing themselves and this makes them easy pickings for manipulators at work and at home. A manipulator is always looking for someone to USE and ABUSE, which brings up another quote that cuts deep to the bone and that's, "You deserve what you settle for." Nothing will ever change until you change your perspective and take action.
Now this information is very important, make sure you get your information in life from a SOLID REAL SOURCE. In other words, realize that not everyone around you knows what the hell they are talking about or doing. If I want to learn how to become a multi-millionaire, I'm not going to ask Joe up the street, who is drunk most of the time and misses a lot of work at his job as a janitor, to give me financial money management advice. Surprisingly, people ask the wrong people for advice or they try looking it up online and end up getting scammed out of every last penny from some high priced BS course. Does what I'm saying really suck to hear? You bet your hairy Sasquatch butt it does, and it happens every FREAKING day!
For example, if I want to trade stocks, penny stocks or be an Angel Investor, you better be learning from someone who REALLY knows what they are doing and has a good track record of success. Just think, if you would have invested in Pinterest, Etsy, Twitter or Spotify, before they became IPOs (initial public offerings) you would probably be quite wealthy by now! Investigate, research and question like crazy. Don't just drink the Kool-Aid they are passing out everywhere that is loaded with ignorance and BS.
Start thinking for yourself, and FIND the right freaking information. I realize most of what we are told today about relationships, careers, politics, life, love, and making money is horse crap ... I KNOW THAT, but you have to filter that crap out and get your act together, because nobody else cares if you make it or not. It's ALL ON YOU!
Arm and prepare yourself with the RIGHT KNOWLEDGE. Any moron can get knowledge, but it's about getting the right knowledge, which is no easy task when you are surrounded by people who only tell you what they want you to know and not what you NEED to know. Ask yourself: What's influencing you right now? What is holding you back from moving forward? What's distracting you right now? What can you do about it? What changes can you make that are in your control?
When Pleasing You Is Killing Me by Dr. Les Carter is a nice place to start reading and then I would jump head first into Mini Weapons of Mass Destruction: Build Implements of Spitball Warfare by John Austin to keep your attitude in check. If you're not laughing everyday, something is way off in your life. I use to joke and say the only time I laugh is when I get my paycheck. There was never a need for me to wait every two weeks to laugh, when I could be laughing and playing pranks on people at home and at work, right now.
So what's your greatest teacher? Wait for it ... ah yes ... here it comes ... it's ADVERSITY! A gem cannot be polish without friction, nor a person perfected without trials. You might not think you are smart enough to figure out how to handle your relationships or your crappy job, but you CAN DO IT. Remember what Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't―you're right.” And when you have JERKS who act and talk like they are smarter then you, just remember you can learn anything they can!
Educate yourself on what you need to know. Use what is useful and discard the rest. Get focused, have a plan, move forward and stay productive. If you're working and you need more money, get yourself a side hustle! For example, want a great reason to get a pilot's license? Look into becoming an Airplane Repo Man (make hundreds of thousands of dollars), a Snake Milker, and a Dog food taster. The dog food taster sounds enticing ... umm yummy!
Oh wait, here's some more weird jobs: IMAX screen cleaner, Roadkill cleaner (averages $25,000 a year), Boatsetter (rent out your boat that is just sitting around collecting dust for $300 to $900 a day!), sell your underwear on pantydeal.com or sell them on snifffr.com. Create adult coloring books and sell them on Amazon. Are you super knowledgeable in one subject? Great! Then write an information product and sell it on Udemy. Want to make money selling your inventions, then check out quirky.com. You have to RESEARCH and dig deep to find anything that may be worth your time. Never forget, get your information from a REAL SOLID SOURCE! Oh and one more thing, if you're going to walk on thin ice, you might as well dance.
